If you haven’t watch The Great Dictator. Do it!

Greetings Tayers!

I used to watch a lot movies ones upon a time. Between 2000-2010 I watched pretty much anything. But slowly after I moved out this has been drastically decreasing. I think a lot of us as adults as we get less free time chose their mediums a bit more. Like I know a lot of friends that plays a lot of less games these days then they did when they were younger. And I’ve obviously gone the opposite way by focusing more on games.

There is of course exceptions to this, like I enjoy animated things and documentaries. But overall I watch very few movies in a year.

But lately I’ve been thinking, maybe it’s not just me. Maybe I watch less movies these days because I find them less stimulating as well. Then what movies have I’ve been watching? I realize pretty much all of them are a Marvel movies or something else owned by Disney. I’m not saying that these are necessarily bad movies. A few I would rank high among movies I really enjoyed. (Guardians of the Galaxy 1 & 2) but I would like to see other types of movies to. Movies like Big Lebowski, Bobba ho-tep, Life Aquatic, and Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. Those are some of the movies I loved, and I can’t really pin a movie I’ve seen recently I would put that stood out in the same way as them.

Not saying that good movies are not made today, just that maybe I like many else gives none-super hero movies less attention and that drains my overall intrest in movies? Am I slave to Disney?

  • What have you seen within the recent years that really stood out for you?
  • Or talk about anything.
