Good morning everyone!

Hope you guys/gals are well! I really had to struggle away from Zelda to type this down. My weekend has been pretty much Zelda, beer and Overwatch, the last one when I felt lonely and wanted to play with friends. And it was the greatest! After a few rough weeks it was nice to isolate myself for a while and just do what I felt like. It’s funny when you have those weekends. Whenever someone ask you “how was your weekend?” It’s not like “Great, I did nothing!” its the best reply if you wanna keep a good impression.

Another thing that unexpectedly kept my spirit up this weekend was this trailer. I’ve been watching it so many times it’s insane. But it made me smile.

Which is funny, because I was never that into Ducktales as a kid, I watched it, but it’s not something I think back about. It was more or less like any other Disney show at the time that as aged pretty badly. But something I am really nostalgic about are the Donald Duck comics. And I think this trailer showed a show more closer to that material than the old Ducktales were. I really like the more adventures comics by Carl Barks and Don Rosa. Don Rosa especially I think is such great artist that you should hear his name more often when you talk about american comic artists. There is just so much life in his drawings that you can spend time just inspecting the small details. He also wrote a lot great adventures that were creative, and had a good mix of humor and mature themes. He felt like the american Tintin pretty much.

Of course, I don’t think the new Ducktales will be exactly those comics, just inspired by it. Even if they use the same character and setting the narrative will probably be closer to Gravity Falls or any other modern popular cartoon. But I am still curious to watch it! I might even enjoy it!

So with that said. Here are some topics for today:

  • Tell us about something you are really nostalgic about. And if it’s music and such, please do share.
  • Do you watch cartoons? Are you gonna watch Ducktales or there an other shows coming up you are looking forward to? *cough* Samurai Jack *cough*
  •  Tell us about that weekend you enjoyed doing nothing!
  • Or goddamnit, you can talk about anything you want! :D
