‘sup, Party Peeps!

Despite the insane rumours which were flying around, I did not abandon you guys last week. Just... don’t look over here, okay? Okay.

I was out with one of my best girls, and as usual we went adventuring. Usually when we go out, a couple of things happen: some sort of bizarre mishap befalls us, and we always try at least one new food item. Sometimes the bizarre mishap is our food trying.

Luckily for us, Thursday was kind on the food. We had ramen at a regular place and some time later we walked to Korea Town and had the Tower of Green Tea Ice goodness. Shaved green tea ice, topped by sweet azuki beans, next layered by almond slivers, a scoop of green tea ice-cream nestled on top and a mountain of whipped cream to crown it all. How we managed to eat all of it, I don’t know. Well, my friend would say it’s mostly liquid so there’s that. She knew what she was doing when she dragged me there and told me she needed an extra mouth to finish that beast...

On the way to Korea Town as we were talking amongst ourselves about life, I noticed something peculiar. There was a Yum Yum III on one corner and a Yum Yum Too on the next. They were in such close proximity that it was truly odd and I had to get a picture.

As we were setting up the shot from across the street, we noticed one store down the original Yum Yum was sitting pretty. Nothing better than the classics. Though we don’t actually know who was the yummiest since we didn’t get to eat at any of the three.

For Today’s Suggest Topic(s):

  • Here’s something we’ve done before. There may be nothing like the original, but let’s try it with a twist. This website takes you to a place that figures out National Food Days. The last time we did this, I asked you to tell us what your National Food Day was based on your birthday. Let’s do that again! Because it’s been so long since and we’ve got lots of new awesome peeps who haven’t done it before.
  • Once you’ve figured out your Food Day, check what Food Day is on the day after your birthday. Now, which day was yummier?
  • The United Nations officially declared July 30th as Friendship Day, but many countries celebrate on the first Sunday in August (which means Aug. 2nd this year which is this upcoming Sunday!). I find it hilarious we can’t decide on a Day for Friendship. XD But anyway, Happy Friendship Day everyone! Muchas Smooches to you!

As always, feel free to Talk Amongst Yourselves if ain’t nobody got time for yummies. In which case you ackin’ cray! It is the Open Forum, after all. Don’t forget that the IRC Channel is always around for you to carry out discussions as well. If you wanted to give an admin, author, and/or friend a shout: You can find them on the DirecTAYry.

Super thanks to Axel for covering for me last week. It’ll never happen again. ಠ_ಠ
