Last year wasn't exactly Microsoft's best E3 showing. After much angry fan outlash the tech giant found themselves as the butt of many a joke and were declared thoroughly bestest by Sony's newest system. This year things have changed, MS has already announced a Kinect-less console for $400 and things are looking up. Let's see what TAY thinks we'll see at E3 2014 from big green.

Microsoft announces something Fable and Halo related.

[They will] announce a new 'next-gen' IP. [It will] end up being a variant of a shooter.

[They will talk] about their own fantastic indie support.

Microsoft puts all their weight behind Halo because really what else do they have?

-Halo 5 Guardians shown. Companion app/mini game to be released with the game on Xbox Smartglass that no one will really touch. New trailer will be preceded by gameplay. Trailer might possibly kick off the show.

-Halo Collection announced.

-Gears of War announced, short trailer that doesn't reveal much but a tough grizzly voice narrating the sequence shown.

-Sunset Overdrive is show in more detail.

-Mortal Kombat X and Injustice 2 are either shown one after another, or MKX is shown at MS and Injustice 2 is shown at Sony.

-Mass Effect 4 shown. Game does not follow Shepard. Game picks up years and years after 3. The official canon of the game will be revealed. Gameplay will be shown, with the title returning to its roots in ME1 in terms of the RPG elements and gameplay evolving for modern day.

-AC Unity shown at Microsoft's event.

-Mirror's Edge 2 shown.

Microsoft announces new Gears of War.

Microsoft announces new Forza.

Microsoft announces a new IP.

Microsoft announces something has some form of times exclusivity deal.

Microsoft still fails to find solid footing on a direction for their console.

New Banjo-Kazooie. I'd even take another Nuts & Bolts. #notevenjoking

MS will show off new Halo things and will feature a ton of new footage for Sunset Overdrive (aka Capri Sun Commercial: The Game). They'll talk about how they know what their fans want and brag about the new bundle that doesn't have Kinect.

Rare will continue to not live up to its past and/or save Banjo-Kazooie.

Sunset Overdrive release date (playable at the show)

Halo 5 trailer/demo

Assassin's Creed Comet trailer

One new Halo, with some sort of online tablet-ey component. 1 game from a visionary producer or somesuch they've pulled on board just to get a title down. 1 Gears of War with or without a trailer. A segment where EA has control and talks to the audience like anyone likes them.

And a whole section will be about the indie games coming to x-box One. And, last but not least, at the end Bethesda's gonna send someone out to talk about the game everyone wants, Fallout 4. Trailer will be the end of their presser.

Also they'll talk about streaming on twitch some, renting movies and stuff on the device, and possibly talk about ways the device lets players connect "like never before".

I predict with 100% accuracy that they won't out do Nintendo.

I have faith in you Nintendo.

Nintendo pls.

I predict that Microsoft will wipe its ass on the audience and claim Kinect is still "the shit", and announce more games for it no one gives a fuck about.

I also guarantee they'll drag some dead franchise out of the ground and Micheal Bay it. Gritty, realistic Uniracers or something.

And they'll also have the objectively worst conference because the X-Box brand is something that was never designed to appeal to my tastes. :P

I'll be bored as I watch it.

Likely going to be a major third-party exclusive based on the rumours. Also, I expect at least a one more major first-party exclusive (Phantom Dust anyone?)

I seriously expect a big show from Microsoft consider how much Phil has been pumping up the press conference, and they've announced things like Halo 5 and Forza Horizon 2 before E3, meaning that they must be confident with what they've got if they are willing to talk about those things (which would qualify as good press conference material in other years). Very excited to see what this E3 will bring.

  • Killer Instinct Season 2. Also possible announcement for disc release.
  • Halo 2 Anniversary. October/November
  • Halo 5 reveal. Not till 2015
  • Xbox TV announcement. Focus on games.
  • Big Indie push. Starts off with new focus on XBLA: Summer of Arcade. Shadow Complex 2, New Twisted Pixel Game, BANJO KAZOOIE, Battletoads HD.
  • Gears of War tease. Nothing solid, just a "We're working on Gears. That is all." Coming next year.
  • Crackdown 3
  • Fable soft series reboot. Coming soon (2015/2016)
  • Stuff on Games with Gold. Outline how it will work with One and 360 owners still get their stuff. (Known but still want to mention)
  • Family friendly focus. Possible Viva Pinata game and other family friendly titles. Grabbed by the Ghoulies 2 and new kid friendly IP to combat Sackboy and Mario.
  • Pimp 360 sales and whatnot. Add more Platinum hits titles to back catalog.
  • XBOX CLASSICS: Selling old Xbox and 360 games via download on Xbox ONE. Closest thing to backwards compatibility we get.

Doesn't sound like TAY is too optimistic about Microsoft's offerings at E3 2014. It will have to be better than last year though, right? RIGHT?! More predictions are always welcome in the comments below. Stay tuned for our Sony predictions tomorrow morning.
