I was thinking about buying the Taken King for Destiny yesterday, but I wasn’t quite sure that I had the money to spare for it. With Metal Gear Solid V coming out next week and Fallout 4 and Persona 4: Dancing All Night so close, it just seemed like I was throwing enough money at my hobby for a while. Luckily, Sony reminded me that I am, indeed, throwing too much money at my hobby—because my settlement for the Vita case just came in last night for $25. It gave me just enough to go ahead and buy the expansion ahead of time.
If any of you have seen me on the PS4 lately, Destiny has pretty much been the game that I’ve been using to tide myself over until Metal Gear Solid V comes out. In fact, I’ve honestly been kind of using it to distract myself from spending more money because I know how bad this holiday season is going to be for my wallet. I’m not certain if I’m going to be playing it after Metal Gear Solid V comes out, but I do know that I’m having a lot of fun with it now. Maybe I’ll end up regretting that The Taken King pre-order after next week—but at the very least I’ll have the expansion if I end up going back to Destiny again.
Plus, those updated mechanics just look too freaking cool.
