So lately I've been "sharing" lots of games with people. What I mean by that is that I'm doing play-throughs of games alongside others. For example, on my stream I'm doing both a Darkest Dungeon and XCOM: Enemy Within play-through that involves the characters being named after my viewers. It's a very simple and fun way to engage my audience.
Lately, LadyRer and I have also been playing Kirby's Epic Yarn and Majora's Mask 3DS together. I'm really stoked she's interested in MM, because it lets me enjoy showing her a side of Zelda she's never experienced before.
The only downside is sometimes I really want to play these games while alone. I could make new saves in all of these games, but then I feel like I'm A) Not Progressing, 2) Betraying the initial point of playing the game with other people in the first place, and c) being a selfish douchenozzle. So with that in mind, here's your ?otD.
Have you ever shared a play-through of a game with someone? Did you ever sneak behind their back and play without them? Did you make a separate save, or just not save your progress? Did you start up other games to keep your mind off of it while you waited?
I still have that cross-platforming in games discussion rattling around in my head, but that'll be for a rainy day! So for now...
