Tonight, I'd like to talk about old Toonami. Let's be nostalgic. So nostalgic in fact it will seem like you already answered this.

If I remember correctly the first show I saw on Toonami was DBZ. I was at the beach, and it was amazing. I think it was late in the Cell Games. Or maybe it was near Raditz. I don't really remember. I think I was between 8 and 10. Now when I was in middle school and high school I was too hipster, and refused to do anything mainstream. So I have few memories of Toonami for that time.

That's not to say I don't have any memories. I recollect on one New Year's there was a Samurai Jack marathon, I sure watched the heck outta that. I also recall occasionally seeing some shows when I just happened to watch it. I still only watch cartoons and I did then too, so sometimes I had no choice. Not that I didn't enjoy myself. I remember seeing Gundam G Fighter and SD Gundam. I can't find SD Gundam anywhere though. At least not that one.

So, I didn't get back into anime until 2011. Toonami was absent at that point, but I remembered the shows people talked about and most of them were on Toonami. So I went on a summer long ultimate marathon and managed to watch a 100 and some odd anime to completion by the end of the year. Then early 2012, Toonami came back. I was pretty stoked. Streaming is nice, but sometimes just turning on the TV and watch whatever is on is better.

That's my story, how about you? Also feel free to talk about current Toonami-related things. Especially Space Dandy. For now reactions should be put at the end of each show to cut down on the amount of refreshing people need to do.
