2014: A wonderful year full of fantastic titles. Everyone on TAY has been singing praises of their best of the year, and after so many great Best Of lists, so I didn't feel like I had much more to say regarding that. Instead I invite you to take a look forward to what will be another great year in gaming. With so many Triple-A titles and content on the horizon any gamer would be daft to think that the coming year would be anything but fabulous. 2015, here we come!

Metal Gear Solid: Phantom Pain - Multi-Platform

Hideo Kojima's Phantom Pain game is stretching the Metal Gear Solid story and mechanics like never before, and in doing so pushing the PS4 and xBox One to their limits. We'll be seeing a world where fan's expectation of stealth have finally been realized with an open world and day/night cycle. We'll also see a bridging of Metal Gear story lines and hopefully tying up some loose ends with the Big Boss himself. Along with what will undoubtedly be a grade a single-player campaign, we'll also see multi-player gameplay like never before! How can you not be hyped!?

The Legend of Zelda Wii U - Nintendo Wii U

Nintendo's next iteration in The Legend of Zelda franchise seems to push it's boundaries of both literally and figuratively. Not only will this Zelda explore gameplay ideas we've all been waiting for (despite being available in other games already) it will also reaching back to the exploratory roots of the original NES Legend of Zelda. Despite a woeful lack of footage and details TAY is definitely excited for whatever Aonuma and the Nintendo team have in store!

No Man's Sky - Sony Playstation 4

Hello Games' No Man's Sky has a made a lot of promises, and having that much build up can work to a developer's disadvantage upon release. But if developer interviews and preview videos have show us anything it's that we don't need to be worried. The worlds are fleshed out and expansive and the mass of content that will likely be available has us at TAY frothing to explore.

Bloodborne - Sony Playstation 4

Fans of Demon Soul's and Dark Souls have been clamoring for Director Hidetaka Miyazaki's next installment, and when we got wind of Bloodborne TAY went into a frenzy. Featuring similar RPG elements to the aformentioned hits, Bloodborne takes it farther with intense speed and dynamic arsenal of weapons. All this accompanied with beautiful visuals only possible on next-gen systems like the PS4 has fans at TAY are hungry to get their fangs into this title.

Mario Maker - Nintendo Wii U

I don't think there is a person in the world who has played a Mario game and not wished they could make their own. While emulators have given us that opportunity, Nintendo's own journey into Mario Maker seems to be 2D Mario fan-service at it's prime. The vast amount of content and ease being poured into this title will elevate it from simple game maker to the truest Mario creation material. From what we've seen it already looks fantastic, now it'd be the cherry on top if there's a little Mario Paint 2 in there somewhere too.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Multi-Platform

Many people consider The Witcher and it's sequel to be some of the best story-driven RPG's in modern gaming. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will feature a massive world size, the likes of which we've never seen before, and with that an amount of gameplay that will leave you exploring for a very long time. Along with the eye-candy graphics and refined gameplay from previous titles, fan's are ready to fall in love with the next iteration of CD Projekt Red's great RPG.

Persona 5 - Sony Playstation 4

After a series of wonderful spin-offs on various platforms Atlus is finally gracing us with Persona 5. Despite the game's characters, story, hell... everything about the game, still being under wraps we at TAY are clamoring for our chance at the true sequel to 2008's fantastic RPG. All we really have to go on is director Katsura Hashino saying the game's storyline will involve "throwing off the chains of oppression to find one's truth self". Fans at TAY might get a release date in early February at the Persona Super Live 2015 concert.

Splatoon - Nintendo Wii U

First Person Shooters typically have a specific coat of paint, but Nintendo has decided that their FPS is going to have a color all it's own. Splatoon is going to be one of two (RTS Shooter, Code Name: S.T.E.A.M. being the other) fresh IP's from the big N in 2015 and they've been delivering the hype in gangbusters for people at TAY. We've seen how it's going to deliver a unique multi-player mode and single-player campaign, now we wait and see how well Nintendo can deliver this title.

Author's Note: I've noted availability for the latest generation console for each game. Some games may be available on older gen consoles, and many multi-platform games are also available on PC.

This list was compiled from the poll conducted on TAY last week, if a game you are looking forward to is missing post it in the comment section below!
