Every now and then, as a fan of a series, we come across “official” canon materials that seemly contradicts, in a foul manner, to what we’ve come to know and love about the series. Before you know it, fanon discontinuity occurs and we block out such blasphemy!

I’ve been playing Layton’s Brother on my subway ride home. It’s a good game, simple, but good. However, to constantly reference Al as the son of the great Professor Hershel Layton is just in bad taste. I won’t spoil the story but needless to say, he’s clearly adopted!

Tonight’s topic: Sequels/prequels/mid-quels/side story that is so bad and wrong, you have written it out of your favorite series.
