Good evening TAY! It is I, Nach... I’ve been so busy TAY, like incredibly busy. My parents are in town D: which is great, but jeez they take so much time away. Contrary to the start of this month, when I did a bunch of streams and gaming marathons, I haven’t been able to play a lot of games lately. But I’ve managed to sneak at least two games in my daily routine , the first one is the JP version of Miitomo, which may also be the final version for America but for some strange reason it hasn’t been released here in the west.

Miitomo is a unique experience similar to Tomodachi Life, and just like Tomodachi, Miitomo is incredibly shallow...

...but to be honest I never expected to have as much fun as I’ve had with this app as I expected. The experience depends so much on the user - Miitomo is as fun as you want it to be. It’s a weird app and yet it’s a unique experience very much like any other Nintendo published software in the past.

And judging by the numbers and the success the app has had so far, I’m not the only one who thinks the same. There’s only one caveat... Miitomo drains the battery of your phone super fast D:

The other game I’ve been playing is Rhythm Heaven, not the Wii one (although I just bought that one for $15). If you’ve read my many posts about that game you know that it is an incredibly punishing experience, one that I enjoy more than I should...

No really, Rhythm Heaven is like being in an abusive relationship, one where that other person is constantly underestimating and insulting you. If only the music wasn’t so good...

Tonight’s Menu:

  • Games that have taken you by surprise
  • Punishingly good games, or more than punishing, games that are rewarding.
  • Let’s talk about music that you normally you don’t like when taken out of context.

Tonight’s jam is taken from Miitomo, this song plays when you’re editing your pictures in the Miifoto menu:

As always, feel free to Talk Amongst Yourselves, specially if you are hungry like me (or you don’t like tonight’s topic as much as I thought you would)! It is the Graveyard Shift, after all. Don’t forget that the IRC Channel is always around for you to carry out discussions as well. If you wanted to give an admin, author, and/or friend/enemy a shout: You can find them on the DirecTAYry.
