Welcome to the Graveyard Shift! It's a Thursday, and you know what else it is?
It's Independence Day in the United States! So if you aren't out blowing things up right now, you totally should be. For 'murica.
Did you already blow things up? Are you not from the States? Don't worry, we've got you covered.
So last night was the much-anticipated Game Night, which went off fantastically. We played some Uncharted 3, which is still free on the PSN store, and got a few hours of multiplayer in. Everyone played really well, was incredibly nice, and most importantly, everyone kicked my butt.
So that leads me to ask, fellow late-night TAY'ers: What are your favorite multiplayer games?
For me, it totally depends on the type. If the game is centered on players fighting one another, it would have to be the original Halo on the PC. For some reason, despite the fact that that game had a major issue with lag compensation, it was just too addicting and fantastic.
But if it's going to be cooperative, it's a tie between my two favorite indie games: Minecraft and Killing Floor.
Since you've all probably heard of Minecraft, let me tell you about Killing Floor. It's a charming little zombie/mutant shooter with Horde mode being its only real game type. You kill zombies/mutants for money, which you use to buy guns at the shop between rounds. There's multiple classes with a leveling system, and the higher you level the better the perks you get are. It really is like a little RPG within a horde-mode shooter, and it's so easy to fall in love with.
What about you, TAY? What are your favorite multiplayer games? It doesn't even have to be a video game, it could be DnD or poker!
Did the topic just not interest you? Feel free to use this to talk about your day, share some interesting news, or whatever else you desire! The Thursday Graveyard Shift is now open!
