"I am become death, destroyer of worlds 1 to 8 " - Luigi

Hello fellow cititayzens, and welcome to the Graveyard Shift! Hosted by Kotaku's reader-run blog, TAY. This is a place to talk about life, video games, or anything else. So feel free jump in the topic, or whatever¯\_(ツ)_/¯. Also, be sure to check out created articles on TAY and the random blips of TAYCLASSIC. This is for you! The Late Night / Early Bird / Office Drones/ All-Nighter / Future Warriors!

But first some Graveyard digs...

Tonight's shift -The Year Of...

Ruīji...yup, the younger brother turned 13 this year since his first appearance as an alternative color for Mario in 1983. And has been making his way into my heart/fav list ever since I noticed he can jump higher than whatshisface.

So to celebrate Super Luigi Bros U was released available for download as an expansion. >_>

But besides being an overall number one, and destroyer of worlds. This turn of celebratory commercialism has left me wondering....who's next?

Nintendo would probably not come out with another year for another character, but if they did....2013 would make any one born on that year a Luigi as their zodiac or sign...whatever.

But not necessarily from just Nintendo, lets take a gamble, and expand to just about any game character. Be protagonist or not.

So what video game character get his or her own year? Would you like to have then as you zodiac/ sign/ spiritual guide/whatever? No? Then lets talk about secret Satan Santa stuff...No? Then how was your day guys? It been pretty hectic, but if anyone out there cares....I been feeling better. Anyways feel free to ignore all of the above and talk about games, life, and whatever your green aspiring hearts desire!

Here the video by TerminalMontage where the above image comes from..why not watch it?

The Graveyard shift is not responsible for your late night procrastination, worrying about your finals , that last paper, nervous breakdowns, and tears of joy when you pass!
