Hey everyone! Welcome to the Graveyard Shift, the nightly hang-out hosted by Kotaku's reader-run blog, TAY. This is a place to talk about anything - your lives, your gaming habits, or whatever else you desire. Hop on in and join the discussion! When you're done here, you could always go check out the articles over at TAY or TAYClassic! Or, if this is your first time at TAY, please check out this TUTorial!

I had some spare cash floating around last week, TAY, so I did the only rational thing there is to do: spend it. Well, to be fair, I also had some gift cards lying around too that I also needed to spend... but... yeah, anyways; I got rid of all of those!

I basically just got two games: Professor Layton and the Azran Legacy and that new Atelier game (by TAY's recommendation), which I have yet to play. So far, Professor Layton is winning over my heart again with his massive amounts of puzzles and adorable hatβ€”I don't think I've played any games in that series since the very first one on the DS. Needless to say, I'm a little confused about the plot or who some of the characters are, but it's all so quirky and adorable I don't even care.

Atelier is... I think it has to do with Alchemy. I really need to check it out.

Anyways, TAY, your topic for the day is the following: What are some things that you've gotten from a recent spending spree? Is there any spending spree that will live in your memory for forever? Or, if that doesn't work for you, what are some things you feel comfortable buying with gift cards that you otherwise wouldn't purchase? Let us know down below!

Not a fan of spending sprees or gift cards, huh? Well then, feel free to talk about life, love, gaming, or whatever else you desire. The Wednesday Graveyard Shift is now open!
