This week we have Jean-Claude Van Damme in Texas, smash gods in attendance, Danish heads stomping around, smash melee waterfall #2, more people aiming and shooting, including one game that is 100%, completely, honest to God, esports ready... Or so the developers claim. I hope everyone appreciates the timezone schedules I made.
If you don’t understand the reference in the headline, here you go:
So anyway, the Kumite (Wa-Ta!) and Low Tier City is basically two different events at the same venue. The former specializes in fighting games across the board, while the latter (Deja Vu) is all about smash brothers. Combined we have over 1100 people signing up to compete across a substantial list of games. Despite being a Tekken world tour challenger event, it’s Low Tier City that you should keep an eye on. This a major smash event with 3 out of 5 smash gods in attendance.
Over in ex-viking territory, Denmark, we got Tekken world tour and Capcom pro tour event, Headstomper. I can’t tell you who’s in attendance, but it’s an opportunity for European players to get some more points. So I’m expecting guys like Kaneandtrench, Tissuemon, Super Akouma, and let’s not forget Devilkazuya. This guy was able to beat Qudans last week at VSFighting 2018.
If you’re looking for something a little more low-key and grass roots, we got smash tournaments in Vancouver, British Columbia. With 200 attendees, it’s grassroots but it obvious these boys know what they’re doing.
Schedule: (All times in PDT)

This is real late edition. The Red Bull boys over at Smash.gg didn’t even bother to post a full schedule. It just says: We open at this time and we close at this time. But hey, they’re going to Denver, Colorado this week.
Doors Open: 9:00 am
Matches Start: 11:00 am
Estimated End Time: 11:30 pm
Like I said last week, the Eleague CS:GO premier group stages concluded during the week. The playoff’s are gonna go down this Saturday and Sunday. The matches have been quite exciting up till now. But I won’t spoil them for you, there’s enough of that going around. You wanna catch up without spoilers? Eventvods.com is the answer.
Start Times: (Next day in red)
The developers swear that the game is ready. Alright, if you say so. So far, the modification they’ve made to the game seems to have made things interesting. I had the games going on a side screen while I worked. Every time the announcers raised their voices I’d look over. Games tend to get more entertaining near the end of the match.
