Hello all, my name is Nitro, and I have just now mustered the nerve to post an introduction!
Thanks to everyone for welcoming me in, and also being an actual community. I can't tell you (although I am sure you know) how bad some of the other websites are.
I mainly came here to kill time at work, and to post some of my own reviews, but now that I find myself creeping on here more and more each day. I have been playing games since I was about 4, and haven't stopped since. I play a vast array of genres, but have an incredible soft spot for JRPG's. I was really bad about pre-ordering games in the PSone era, and having it and the guide paid off 6 months before the game would come out. I am currently trying to make a career out of the already bloated gaming journalism market, but find it to be something I really love. I am finishing up school in the meantime, and working full time, so my backlog of titles stretch throughout all consoles.
Now, for my topic: What is everyone's gaming habit? Is there something that you do, or drink, or series of events you do to prepare?
I personally have a set of motions before I initially start. First, I grab 2 drinks, normally alcoholic, before I turn on the console. I always find myself sitting in an incredibly uncomfortable office chair that I have had for the past 10 years and get about six feet away from the TV, with my back completely straight. I also recently noticed that I refuse to eat anything while playing a game, or if I do go eat, I save and turn it off.
What about everyone else?
