Track: Star Maze | Game: Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins | Composers: Kazumi Totaka.
Who would have thought that a Mario game not produced by Shigeru Miyamoto would be so influential in later iterations of the franchise? Six Golden Coins, coined by the late Gunpei Yokoi, would take Mario to the beach and to space way before Mario Sunshine and Galaxy did. It also was the debut game for the infamous Wario. This track is extracted from the Space Maze secret level, in which Mario has to travel through in an auto-scrolling labyrinth of angry stars.
Bonus Trivia: A remixed version of this track plays when you use the Boombox Thing Sticker in Paper Mario Sticker Star.
