Hello and welcome to another edition of Unboxing TAY! In this series I take a look at special/collectors/limited editions of various media and other things, namely things that have come out recently. I’ll show off the goods and talk a little bit about each item and possibly the function(s) of said objects if there is more than what is visible. With that out of the way, let’s get to today’s topic which as hinted by the header image and title, is.... Fire Emblem Fates!

I’m quite excited to get into the newest entry into the Fire Emblem series, but I’m contemplating holding off until I get the Pokemon New 3DS, as that will be one less thing to transfer over. (also my 3ds isn’t charged at the moment) Anyway let’s get to this thing, starting with the box.

It should be noted that the side flaps of the box contain more of the mural art which can be seen later in this post.

The box isnt overly large, its about as tall as a 3DS game box and about as long as those mini artbooks are, just slightly larger to accomodate said objects.

Of course the artbook has both armies on the cover, and a wealth of sketches and concept art on the inside. I haven’t really looked inside as I don’t want to possibly spoil something since I haven’t seen much about this game other than the first 2 trailers that were shown off.

Dig that clean minimal design....
...but not the unneeded barcode mucking up the back cover.
Instead use the reverse side with the full on mural art!

Oh...... a paper telling me about a digital manual..... booooooo. Dig that Cart though!
And here we have the DS pouch with the Mural art once again...
While the back side has this monochrome map/insignia design.

Well aint that some special edition eh? It is a bit sparse on contents compared to some CE/LE’s at the same price but it is Fire Emblem so the game will be great.

As a bonus Amazon decided to include the Robin amiibo I ordered that was supposed to arrive tomorrow. Got it early woo!

Marth and Lucina coming next week.

It’s been awhile since I’ve done one of these, but hopefully I’ll be able to start doing them again with regularity. Feel free to provide suggestions on the presentation in this series. Till then I’ll see ya around.

PS. If anyone knows what movie the header quote is from, you are a cool person :P
