Good evening and welcome to Word of the Day! A journey through the English vocabulary and the words that piqued my interest, in WotD we'll be learning a new word for each working day of the week, bar holidays, unless there's a holiday special...

Today's word is:

recalcitrant

|riˈkalsətrənt|

adjective

  • Having an obstinately uncooperative attitude toward authority or discipline : a class of recalcitrant fifteen-year-olds.

noun

  • A person with such an attitude.

It's just another word for intransigent, or obstinate, mulish, stubborn, etc. I was fishing for new words when I found this one lying around ^^ Now... prepare yourselves, cause tomorrow is going to be a doozy!
