Good morning fellow football enthusiasts, (I don't thin I've ever addressed you guys before [how rude of me]). Yesterday we saw how a lethargic Holland dismissed Chile, Spain got a bit of redemption back at the expense of the Aussies, Brazil finally did their thing by trashing Cameroon four goals to one, and Mexico, dear God, Mexico was splendid!

Day 12 wasn't full of surprises, with the one exception being the Mexican team, who gave their most clinical performance by finding the bottom of the net in three different occasions againts a flailing Croatia. The Crows never stood a chance against the boys of Miguel Herrera (pictured below sporting a mullet 20 years ago), who may have secured his place in the manager seat for six more months.

Today, on the second day of the Group Deciders, Italy fight for their survival against a team comprised of Luis Suarez and other 10 brawlers (who unlike Suarez, refuse to bite the competition). It all points for a thrilling kickboxing fight if one of their teams looses their cool.

The Italians should have recovered their breath after they failed to show up against Costa Rica four days ago, and they are hoping Andrea Pirlo can roll back the years once more. On the other hand, Uruguay need a win against the Azzurri since even if their goal difference is the same as the Italians, the issue in their case is, Their only goalscorer is Luis Suarez, and if Italy finds a way to avoid him getting the ball on the final third of the pitch, then Oscar Tabarez may have resort to the tactics book to find a way to neutralize Cesare Prandelli's team and score, at least, one more goal than them.

Almost forgot to mention, but this match will be officiated by El Chiquidracula, Mexico's hope in the World Cup's Referee battle!

At the same time, England would like to emulate Spain and record a win to avoid leaving the tournament with a bag full of nothing, but there's one caveat, England is not Spain, and Costa Rica is not Australia.

At 4PM EST Group C will decide who's going to join Colombia as runner ups. Los Cafeteros (Coffee Growers) face a disappointing Japan, who couldn't score against a 10-man-Greece in their second match. On the other match Ivory Coast needs just a draw against a Greek team who have failed to score and will probably fail to score today.
