World cup is.... almost over. With only five days and four matches left... the great party of goals and horrible refereeing will conclude on Sunday.
I would like to say sorry for being such a lousy hosts these last few days =/ but hey I'm semi-back! And most importantly the semi-finals start today. It's just one match per day, but both games should be interesting to say the least!
First up, is Brazil vs. Germany. Brazil lost their star striker, Neymar, to a super nasty fractured vertebra. Not just that their marvelous captain is also gone! As Thiago Silva is suspended for this match after accumulating yellow cards. On the other hand Germany... well Germany doesn't have any big problems in their squad (other than a lacklustre display against the French!).
- 4:00 PM EST: Brazil vs Germany @ Estádio Mineirão, Belo Horizonte.
What should we expect for today's match? I'll let Nat Coombs from British newspaper The Guardian tell you about the 10 thins to watch on today's tussle (I mean after all... he has a team of journalists and writers supplying his column with news and analysis).
Brazil 1 - 2 Germany AET
Brazil... well they were pretty awful in their Quarterfinal match against Colombia, once they got the lead they retreated and forgot to play football, their first goal came to a hideous defence error, and their second one, well that was a heck of a goal by David Luiz. Germany, scored early in their game and started pressing the French way into their own goal, not letting them to get close to Manuel Neüer's goal, it was ugly but efficient, expecting the same kind of tactical display by Jogi Löw's team tonight.
To make things a bit more interesting... a point will be awarded to those who get the results right and two extra points for each correct scoreline. Feeling lucky? Then make a bold prediction and win an extra point for each one you get right, like The Pope plays for Argentina and recreates the Hand of God or Robben getting a score of 10/10 for his diving antics.
So TAY what are your predictions for today's matches?
