In all seriousness today we have the match no one in the World Cup Cares for, so instead of focusing on the preview for today's game, I'm going to do a round up for the memorable moments of the tournament:
Day 1: Yuichi Nishimura's disastrous refereeing set the tone for the rest of the World Cup.
Day 2: Netherlands emphatic win over Spain
Day 3: Costa Rica becoming the surprise of the tournament as they came back from being down by one goal to winning 3 -1 over Uruguay.
Day 4: Lucky Argentina winning their match thanks to an effortless Messi shot and an own goal.
Day 5: Germany making a statement as they trashed Portugal by four goals to nil.
Day 6: Mexico holding on to a courageous display to draw against Brazil.
Day 7: Chile knocking out Spain.
Day 8: Luis Suarez inspiring Uruguay to win over England.
Day 9: Jorge Luis Pinto trash talking Italy, and rightly so as Costa Rica nullified Andrea Pirlo's influence, and eliminating England in the process.
Day 10: An Inspired Ghana battled and made the German's life impossible.
Day 11: USA controlling most of the match agaisnt Portugal, only to slip in the last minute of stoppage time.
Day 12: Spain get their goodbye as they won against Australia, and Mexico destroying Croatia.
Day 13: Oh Luis!
Day 14: Nothing... Well Maybe Nigerian goalkeeper celebrations when he stopped a Lionel Messi shot.
Day 15: Cristiano Ronaldo not celebrating his only goal of the tournament.
Day 16: Rest Day.
Day 17: The dramatic penalty shootout between Chile and Brazil.
Day 18: Louis van Gaal: Managerial Genius.
Day 19: Another referee disaster, as Blaise Matuidi's ankle breaking tackle was ignored completely by Mark Geiger.
Day 20: Mark Wilmots sending romeu Lukaku to finish of Team USA.
Day 21 & 22: Rest Day.
Day 23: More controversy as the Brazil vs Colombia match accumulated 51 fouls, yet no player got recognized for their efforts.
Day 24: Louis van Gaal: Managerial Genius Pt. II.
Day 25 & 26: Rest Day.
Day 27: Germany Woof!
Day 28: Louis van Gaal ran out of aces.
Day 29 & 30: Rest Day.
- 4:00 PM EST: Brazil vs Netherlands @ Estádio Nacional de Brasilia, Brasília.
Brazil 1 - 2 Netherlands
Seriously.... I guess it tip my hat to the Netherlands, even if Louis van Gaal stated numerous times he doesn't care about today's match. Brazil on the other hand have to take some dignity back after Germany destroyed their egos.
To make things a bit more interesting... a point will be awarded to those who get the results right and two extra points for each correct scoreline. Feeling lucky? Then make a bold prediction and win an extra point for each one you get right.
So TAY what are your predictions for today's matches?
