World of Taycraft: The MMO Discussion

Hello! Hello!

I thoroughly enjoy playing MMO's of all kinds, so I figured why not make a weekly post that we can all discuss what we like in our MMO's.

A little back story on me, I am a World of Warcraft veteran, been playing since midway through vanilla. Up through Wrath of the Lich King I was a guild leader of a top tier raiding guild, nothing amazing, but ranked in the top 5000 was pretty sweet. My team was a tight knit group of friends, so raiding was pure fun, but real life was quickly catching up with us. Eventually school started catching up to me so I had to stand down and take it a little slower.

Since then I have tried probably nearing the hundreds of different kinds of MMO games. I've played the big ones like, SWToR, Aion, Rift, Tera, Guild Wars, The Secret World, etc. On the other hand I've also dabbled in many of the other games like DOMO, FlyFF, Maplestory, Mabinogi, Vindictus, Grand Chase, Elsword, ROSE, Ragnarok, the list goes on and on.

MMO gaming is a genre that defines me, and in part is the reason I aspire to be apart of a team that creates one in the future. Working on a game like that, with a strong community behind it would be a very fun way to spend my days in the future. Riot Games is a great example of the kind of team I would love to be apart of.

But enough about me,

We can discuss up and coming games, features of games you like, features you don't like. The war between free to play models vs subscriptions vs buy to play with microtransactions. This isn't just for MMORPG's though, we can use it as a place to discuss all kinds of online multiplayer games.

Being that this is the first post I'm not too sure what direction I want to take this, or where it will even lead, but that's where you all come in.

Let me know below what you would like to see in a topic like this.
